CatalogWash

Fix Shopify CSV import errors before they waste your afternoon

Supplier spreadsheets often fail Shopify imports because required fields are missing, prices are malformed, SKUs conflict, or image URLs cannot be fetched. CatalogWash gives you a free import health report before you pay for export.

Missing Title and Handle values
Duplicate SKUs and handles
Invalid prices, inventory, booleans, and image URLs

What CatalogWash checks

Run supplier CSV/XLSX files through mapping, validation, safe fixes, and a Shopify-style product preview. Your file is processed in your browser unless you explicitly use AI mapping or save session metadata.

Browser-first. No Shopify login required.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my Shopify product CSV import fail?

The most common reasons are missing required values (every product needs a Title, and rows need a Handle to group variants), invalid prices such as "$19.99 USD" or "call for price", duplicate SKUs or handles, more than three option columns, boolean columns that are not TRUE/FALSE, and image URLs Shopify cannot download. CatalogWash checks all of these in a free import health report before you upload to Shopify.

How do I find which rows are blocking my Shopify import?

Upload your supplier CSV or XLSX to the CatalogWash cleaner and the free health report lists every issue with its row number, the affected column, and a plain-English explanation. Safe issues like smart quotes, stray whitespace, and coercible booleans can be fixed automatically; ambiguous ones like duplicate SKUs are left for you to decide and can be edited inline.

Do I have to upload my product file to a server?

No. Your CSV/XLSX is parsed and edited in your browser. CatalogWash does not store your product list; only mapping and report metadata is saved if you explicitly save a session, and AI mapping sends only headers plus a small sample after you ask for it.

How much does CatalogWash cost?

The import health report and product preview are free. Exporting the fixed Shopify-ready CSV costs $9 per cleanup session, and you can re-export the same file as many times as needed for 24 hours. A new uploaded source file starts a new session.
